long absence

In less than 2 weeks time, the examinations are going to end. However, BPFC is unable to secure any pitches in december for some unknown reasons as there are practically no fields available. We might have to pay more to get games from referees.

On a side note, the club would like announce to the public regarding tricky striker Lim Song Yee's injury. If you could recall, Song had a freak/bizzare/hilarious/unbelievable injury when trying to receive a pass from favian at the boon lay street soccer court. In gist, his knee moved forward whilst his shin stay rooted to the ground. And this injury proved to be crucial.

It isnt only in Football Manager that you see injuries that span over a year or 2. And the most commonly known, damaged cruciate ligaments. Ladies and Gentleman, this is not a fairy tale injury. Our beloved striker has suffered from the same injury. A recent Magnetic Resonance Imaging, also known as MRI, done at SGH showed that Song has damaged the cartilage at his knee and in addition, his ligament had been badly torn. It is as good as surviving on a knee with no cushion, where every kick/twist/jump will result in agony.

Damaged cruciate ligament. Song is expected to go under the knife on 30th December 2008, where a surgery is expected to repair the ligament. The doctor has also reported that the striker will be under some sort of cast for at least 2 months, clutches for 6 months and resumes light training only after a year. This long lay off is equivalent to Solskjaer's or Gary Neville's where one fears the worse if it is in the case of Neville's where Rafael could do so much better to oust him out of the first team...

Nonetheless, we wish Song every success in his operation and hopes that he joins us soon 1 year later when we can finally see the striker in full glory for his witted trickerys and neat footwork.

There has also been a recent hype regarding Mediacorp's actress Rui En in the club's tagboard. It is widely believed that the imposter is trying to bring about uncertainty and destroy the splendid dressing atmosphere which the club is proud of. However, the club will stay strong amidst such diatribes and gossips.

See you guys when exams are over. A takraw session is likely to be held on either 2nd or 3rd dec night.!
