Foreword: due to a very important test this week, this post wont be too long.

Scorers: Ang, Mark
Assists: Steven, Lem

With up to 75.5% of the squad gone,
50% - Xing
15% - Yuhao
5% - Favian
2.5% - Kelvin
2.5% - Joel
0.5% - Song Yee

The team still managed to come out on tops and it was a hard-fought game that saw us equalise and later on snatch a win right under their noses right at the death.

First half was 0-0 and the best chance of the half probably fell to NJC who forced a diving save from Jackson early on. There were little or no threats from both sides and centre mid was hardly dominate in the absence of Xing.

Early on in the second half, Shuheng was given a foul against for a handball in the penalty box which the defender angrily argued against the referee. But well, you cant expect the ref to say eh sorry wrong decision, now we dropball. Hence we lan lan accepted it. And i must say the resulting penalty was well converted, right into the top corner, watched by thousands of Team Viet Cong from the back.

It was a good wake up call for the sloppiness we portrayed and it was a matter of time before the goal will come. Some issues on the field saw 2 of their players booked but i hardly like to elaborate on these.

A quick taken short freekick by Lem from outside the box released Steven on the left. His cross into the box was met by the head of Ang where it saw a tussle of Mark, Ang and the keeper. The 3 of us clashed with Ang heading the ball towards goal, albeit a slow and lobby one. 1-1 and we are back.

And right into the death before the final whistle goes, disaster struck for NJC. In a somewhat tight defence, playmaker Lem managed to squeeze a through ball to speedy striker Mark who duely finished of the move. 2-1 BPFC and the final whistle goes not long after.

We hardly played to such tight contest and what more with out 24.5% of the squad available.
(If any kind soul is free, do a better match report)

And here's your pick for MOTM.
Steven - 2 significant runs down the left wing saw him free in the box. Numerous corners too!
Ang - numerous well timed tackles and clearances and occasional dribbles down the right wing and a somewhat fortuitious goal.
Mark - it takes one good touch for a striker to impress in a game. Just like Torres and his goal in euro 2008 final
Jackson - Unlucky not to get a clean sheet
Lem - Despite not being able to 'hook' the ball back umpteen times and even a corner kick that went straight out, the dead ball specialist still managed 1 assist on a field which he needed to cover more ground than usual.
Huang SJ - Some weird tricks in central defence as usual including attempting to head the ball back but deceivingly used his leg. but had some crucial well timed tackles.
