Kranji Sec - the favourite hunting ground
BPFC 6-0 Random
Scorers: BX x2, Favian x2, Yuhao, PengYong
Assists: who won the penalty? who passed to fav for his cross shot?
BX, Alan, Alison x2
A record 12 goals scored in 2 games at Kranji Sec, it has become the favourite hunting ground for BPFC. Despite a long lay off of 2 months due to various exams and commitment, the team returned to the field with a handsome victory. With both established GK out for the week, 3rd choice kelzcak stood between the posts, only for his 3rd game as a gk.
It all started well for BPFC as we won a penalty right on the first attack in the first minute. A handball from the opposing defender saw SPS LEM cooly placing a soft shot right to the bottom left corner of the posts. His penalty also saw 2-months-left-to-recovery Song rushing to take a picture of the moment but to no avail as his 1-year-haven-run legs could only take him that far.
Too many moments to remember so i will only state the obvious.
Second goal came saw scorer LEM turn provider after his well floated corner found Mr Singapore lurking in the area. A textbook header went straight above the keeper's heads who could do nothing to stop it. 2-0
3rd goal was yet another classic Favian goal. Having done it once at NUS, he showed the world again it wasnt a fluke. With seemingly no danger, Favian's cross found the net yet again. A goal not even worth a tap on his hands as the team silently walked back to the half, with shuheng the only man congratulating the goal. Even Kelzcak was lazy to move out of his posts despite having celebrated the first 2 goals. 3-0 and thats how we went into the half-time break.
Oh thats not all. This incident is worth a mention too. Winger Alan found the game a little too boring towards the end of the half. After some hard work down the left flank dribbling past a few players, at the last crucial moment, he decided to give a soft kick at the ball to return favour to the opponents. ??? Ya, indeed its a mystery.
Second half saw more well-worked goals from the team. Alan's neat dribble down the left saw him play BX through in the box where he finished off in a typical soft placement shot. The mercurial midfielder also saw his shots rocked the crossbar or saved by the keeper on numerous occasions though he could have done better on certain occasions. 4-0 BPFC.
In a move which Alison thought he was offside, which he might really be given the poor state of refereeing, he managed to hold up ball and play a superb through ball to on rushing winger Fav who finished the neat move with a good shot pass the on rushing keeper. No fluke this time round as he placed the shot right to the intended spot he wanted. How precise is that. 5-0
The last goal of the game saw Peng Yong volleying the ball to the back of the net. Though it didnt rock the back of the net, it was sufficient power beyond the grasp of the GK. 6-0 final whistle.
A round of applause for stand in keeper Kelzcak who never looked like he wasnt a natural keeper. A safe pair of hands and saving one-on-ones, it seems like Jac Der Sar and Kai Foster's positions are highly threatened.
The state of refereeing was one of the worst we have ever seen, even kopitiam ref at NUS might have done a better job.
ShengJie was the MOTM for the previous game at NJC. And starting from this game, in order to boost the level of gameplay, the club's financial team has declared that the MOTM will get to win a free match the next time he plays, valid for as long as he wants. Henceforth, every player who played will be up for voting.
Top scorer, assistor and most MOTM player will get 2 free games next year. Save up to $10 for scoring more goals and assists! 值得!
A short update on the stats. Last season's top scorer PengYong remained on the top of the scorers chart after his volley today. BX climbed to the top of the assist chart (before all the assists today are claimed). In case you haven noticed the stats, its 4 games played for BingXian, chalking up 3 goals and 3 assists. There has been fears that the highly coveted midfielder might snub the club after proving himself to be good in work and at sports.
On the other hand, Shuheng officially become the worst discipline player, beating Kai's 2 yellow cards with and additional red card after he was booked today yet again. The number of clean sheets we have kept this year has beaten last year's where we only had one (if im not wrong).
Current funds: $432 + $20 = $452. Total jersey price: $487.92 - still on deficit
PY to pay me personally the $20 whilst Kel owes the fund $5 after he thinks that clean sheet no need to pay money and happily went home.
The following players yet to pay for jersey :
Kel (unsure), Joel, Favian - yes now i confirm that u haven pay unless u paid to shuheng
Song to pay full amount of $26.

Is Joel Staying with BPFC?
The future of the only non-bpian player Joel Yeo Lip Wee has become increasing uncertain after missing yet another game for the White Swans (The name jus struck me). In the 6 games that were played this year, the NUS choir VP have only appeared in the first game against Team TJC. Despite strong pleas from the fans for the long throw specialist to stay at BPFC, even the manager is unable to reassure the fans regarding Joel's future. A new contract is thought to be awaiting his signature and the club is ready to hold talks to secure Joel at BPFC for life. Terms of the contract are thought to be as follows:
To pay up for the jersey money which u still owe
The rest of the terms are thought to be too unimportant to be mentioned.
BPFC players can study too
After the results from NTU was released on friday, 2 of our players performed exceptionally well with only A's on their scoresheet. Kai and BX have shown that not only will they shine on the field, they will shine everywhere. One of them is also likely to be placed on the much coveted dean's list after shining in both semesters on and off the field but not in the field of love.
